Tutor Pay System Manual (USD)

📌 Which broad types of classes are included in the Tutor Pay System?

Trial Classes (30 minutes, each class carries 0.75 credits) - Both kids and adults
Speaking Classes (30 minutes, each class carries 1 credits) - Both kids and adults
Writing Classes (30 minutes, each class carries 1.5 credits) - Both kids and adults

*** Group Classes are not included within this Pay System - The duration of group classes is 50-60 minutes (depending on the theme) and the pay for the same starts at $20 per hour and is based on number of students, how long a tutor has worked with EngAll, etc. Group classes can only be conducted after the syllabus and plan for the classes have gone through final checks of EngAll team.*

📌 What is the incentive and pay raise system?

The incentive and pay raise system applies only to speaking classes.

Incentive System and Pay Raise System Structure

Monthly Incentive: Calculated for each month based on the total monthly class count

Example Salary after Application of the New Payment System

If Tutor “A” has a Base Hourly Wage of $10
- Prior Month’s Life-long Class Counts : 200 classes
- Current Month’s Total Class Counts : 134 classes
- Current Month’s Total Number of Hours of Classes : 134 classes / 2 = 67 Hours
- Current Month Total Hourly Wage = $10 + $0 + $1.3 = $11.3 per hour
- Current Month Total Wage = 67 Hours x $11.3 =$ 757.1
If Tutor “B” has a Base Hourly Wage of $10
- Prior Month’s Life-long Class Counts : 500 classes
- Current Month’s Total Class Counts : 134 classes
- Current Month’s Total Number of Hours of Classes : 134 classes / 2 = 67 Hours
- Current Month Total Hourly Wage = $10 + $0.5 + $1.3 = $11.8 per hour
- Current Month Total Wage = 67 Hours x $11.8 =$ 790.6

📌 Are there any tutor penalties?

Tutors can face penalties (leading to deduction in payment) for cancellation of a reserved class within the time bracket of 0-12 hours before class, being late to class or not showing up for class.

<aside> 💡 Why Penalties are Necessary: In case of tutor penalties, EngAll provides students with free trial classes or extension of their coupon expiration dates.

These penalties will account for Customer Service expenses related to the following events.

<aside> 💡 PENALTY FOR CANCELING CLASS 0-12 HOURS BEFORE CLASS (TUTOR-PENALTY CANCEL)

All cases of the tutor canceling class in the time bracket of 0-12 hours before class will lead to penalty.

The pay deduction will depend on when the class was cancelled by the tutor.

Class cancellation made more than 12 hours before class have no penalty.

After the class starts (0-10 minutes after class starts)	100% added penalty

The following table shows the exact amount of penalty for cancelling each type of class - Speaking, Writing and Trial (based on base pay of $5/30 minutes class (i.e. $10/hour):

<aside> 💡 PENALTY FOR BEING LATE

All cases of the tutor being late will lead to penalty, and the pay deduction will depend on how late the tutor is. If the tutor does not enter class, 10 minutes after class start time the zoom room will close automatically even if the student is in the meeting waiting room.

0-2 minutes late	No deduction, although strictly discouraged
2-5 minutes late	10% deduction of payment
More than 5 minutes late	25% deduction of payment
